“Peace Be Still” is a watercolor taken from a larger abstract. This section of the painting reminds me of times when I have been surrounded by turmoil and unrest, like rolling shapes, yet at peace inside, like the peaceful cool colors.
You may notice a heart shape at the bottom. Hidden within each storm, is the love of the Lord that is able to bring peace where there is none.
I am reminded of the time a fierce storm was threatening lives. When the ship was ready to sink those inside cried out to Jesus. That is when he said, “Peace be still” and the winds and waves were calmed.
