music even before they learn to sing or even talk. What a blessing to see the freedom of little ones to express their love for music in that way. Matthew 18:4 says, "Whoever then humbles himself as this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” Turn away from adult pride that would keep you from freely expressing your adoration of God.

Overcoming Controversy About Dance

Even though we know God is happy with worshiping and praising dance, we also see in 2 Samuel 6:16, 20-23 that not everyone will accept our dancing. Michal despised him in her heart when she saw him dancing. She mocked him sarcastically and twisted his Godly expression accusing him of being a showoff. In response, David did not apologue for dancing. Instead, he explained how he celebrated before the LORD because God had blessed him.

Everyone may not always look at you favorably as you worship God freely, but if you are dancing for the Lord, God will be pleased. If there are those who criticize you for dancing, explain your reason for dancing respectfully and share the scriptures or this study to help them understand your reasons for dancing. If you do not convince them, continue to love them and continue to dance for the Lord.
