On the OPPOSITE SIDE of the spray painted glass, use a brush to apply the black acrylic lines. It is important to do this on the opposite side so it will look like the stain glass leading between panels of glass. These lines also hide imperfections between colors. The extra black boxes make the window look more complex with many smaller boxes within the same colored area. Painting the opposite side gives the flat raised appearance which you find in the leading of stain glass.

If you do not like what you painted, simply wipe off with a damp rag while the paint is still wet. If you wait until it is dry, it can also be easily scraped off with a razor.

·

When the paint is dray, smooth out any wobbly brush strokes with a razor (picture on the right). This will give the lines a clean even look.

·

If you ever decide to undo your work, spray paint would have to be scraped off or use finger nail polish remover or a lacquer remover. Hopefully you will be as happy with your window as we are with ours.
